Part-Time Accounting Clerk

Our fast-paced, client-focused office needs a reliable and efficient Accounting Clerk to handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Billing functions as well as some limited reconciliation, records updating & collections activities with a focus on time management. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for streamlining monthly billing procedures, assisting with billing automation, procurement, and revenue reporting. We’re looking for an energetic professional who doesn’t mind wearing multiple hats. This would be a perfect role for a recent accounting college graduate or experienced individual who prefers a part-time position. This position requires a minimum of 15 hours of work per week with a maximum of 29 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Perform day to day work in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits
  • Maintain accurate financial record of all receivable and payable transactions, verifications, etc.
  • Reconcile transactions with statements
  • Communicate with the customers & vendors to resolve issues related to accounting transactions
  • Develop organizational procedures and systems for filing, billing, and reconciliation, etc.
  • Review and record contracts/agreements to ensure Billing parameters are setup properly with each new client
  • Performs other accounting related tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associate degree required or equivalent accounting experience
  • 2-3 years’ experience accounts payable, accounts receivables, collections, and billing
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management & organization skill
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and strong integrity
  • High standards for accuracy and quality in a fast-paced work environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite such as Excel & PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the Payments or Banking industries a plus
  • Proven ability to work successfully with limited supervision
  • Experience with CRM such as Zoho or Salesforce.com
